On Bleecker Street, operators signaled more to come with permits filed for a new taqueria at 232 Bleecker. February's class, per Eater NY's tracker, leaned global: Ambassadors Clubhouse landed February 11 with a clubhouse-dining format; Kubo brought Filipino cooking to Manhattan; Sonny's Corner and the Eighth filled out the roster, and Skinny Louie's, the Miami burger counter, plotted its sixth location for the East Village. What is still ahead this spring?
The anticipated list for the season, per Eater NY's preview published in February, includes Confidant, Double Knot, Gusi, Or'esh, Saverne, Bark Barbecue and Bar Ferdinando, plus Sushi Yoshitake's first New York project — a Tokyo transplant that instantly becomes one of the city's hardest reservations the moment it opens. Midtown East is also owed a wave of Japanese concepts and the Cote team's chophouse expansion, with doors targeted for April.
